New Teacher Induction Plan (2006-2011)
The induction process of the Spotswood Schools is the means by which the district provides the elements necessary to help the new teacher make the transition from being a student in an academic setting to a professional able to function effectively within the organization – the classroom, school and district.
The New Teacher Induction Plan outlines the rationale, roles/responsibilities, and goals/objectives for the program.
Plan for Effective Schools
The district’s Improvement Plan is based on the Effective Schools’ Research that is research-based and data-driven. This will be the vehicle by which the district intends to identify and promote effective educational practices.
The plan coordinates the existing excellent educational practices under a common plan, guided by a stated mission. The Spotswood district will look to the emerging research of the Effective Schools Movement which says that even in the best of schools there are certain educational practices that work better than others to continue to improve.
